Saugatuck Center for the Arts Logo, photography, design and printed material for the SCA's newest exhibit, Move It! Overview The SCA’s exhibit, Move It!, is an exciting exhibit showcasing STEAM and it’s use in toy design. The Saugatuck Center for the Arts believes that a strong art community should have a robust arts center, and that a robust arts center could, in turn, help create an even more vibrant community. We too believe this mantra. We were asked to create all the printed materials required for the SCA’s newest exhibit. Client: Saugatuck Center for the Arts Website: sc4a.org Date: April 14, 2017 Services: Logo, Printed Materials Brief The Move It! exhibit is focused around STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Art and Math), so before anything else we designed a new logo for STEAM. The STEAM logo was to be used on all printed material, so once that was finished we moved forward on the gallery designs. Each toy on display required a separate ‘chart’ that describes the elements within STEAM used on that toy’s design. In addition to the charts, the typical gallery guides, postcards and marketing materials were designed. Each piece was designed to remain consistent with the overall aesthetic of the exhibit. We then took sketches from the toy designer and created large wall graphics to display throughout the gallery. Finally, the SCA asked us to create large ‘wallpaper’ to be hung on the back wall.
